yeah, you got that right, the system was acting up.
system got stuck with about 300+ jobs . and when it finally pushed through , there was buildup everywhere.
wow... alotta work. so i didnt have time to update the blog.

but i guess its all fine now.

today is JB day. driving down. taking my passports as well just incase we decide to DETOUR :)

Bike has clocked some 1300km and i must say that the oil which is currently in the engine is shot to hell. I'm having dinner while i wait for my bikes turn...

Klang-Kuantan-Klang

Kuantan

yeah we did a small trip to kuantan and it did rain to kuantan but it didnt on the way back. on the way there we uses the highway all the way. up to KARAK it was ok , but after that it was BORING. however i did manage to test the manners of the versys in the rain. not bad....
sadly we saw an accident when a proton wira got its top completely crushed to the door handle level. i hope they are safe.
checked in the hotel after looking for it , went and have lunch, went back to sleep and then rode around kuantan. not bad.... but theres nothing much to do. prices are early the same as KL.

had dinner facing the sea and slept. next morning we had an early morning beach walk. packed up and rode to find a highly reccomended half boiled egg place. closed. but we found another place which was ok.

we then rode back using highway 2. roads are ok except for some holes here and there. but ok. did a few stops along the way. BTW versys has clocked 1200+km. really time to service already.

went to pick him up.then rain. Now we're in one utama for dinner. I am so gonna get stuffed.

Next to the bike shop , took the bike for inspection. 500km on the clock. Time to top up some oil amd check the bike ebfore our trip.

versys 1st 5 day impression

Well, what can i say. Its steady as a rock . Love the front end. Have to stiffen the shock when two up.
Good power.
Decent pickup. Its not klr.
Smmoth.
Still getting used to the gearbox though. After 300 plus km, the gear box is smoother. Now its time to check the milage

Woke up early this morning.
It rained before i woke up so the roads were cold,dark and wet.
Could not go at normal speed.

Former Rock Chick

Chinese temple in KL

on Saturday, after voting and having a look at the versys in the shop , i decided to take Chris for a little trip to a temple in KL.

and then we drove around the area. damn the houses are big and pretty. when we drove back it rained like hell.

versys run in

Wrb9170 has been run in. A quick run from the bike shop to klang via the federal highway brought out the versys character.
and what are my impressions?
Handling : accurately easy
performance: little vibes, but not annoying
comfort : good. Not painful
speed : quite fast once above 7k
fun factor : very

now i am at the shop again to do a quick oil change to take out all those tiny metal shavings.
But its bloody raining. Any complaint on this bike. The horn.... Easy to fix.

till i get home.

I went over to jpj wangsa maju.
They guy has never done import registeration before.
i wanted to buy a number plate.
Since he didnt know , he said have a seat first and he'll get back to me.
when he called he already gave a number. I gave him hell and i got WRB9710

too excited on registering the new versys.
i'm quite sad at the same time , having to sell off the KLR. i hope it goes to some1 who would take good care of it.
i've had many fond memories with that bike. well not only me, but chris as well.
from the floods on the NKVE to the heavy downpours i've taken it through, it just kept on thumping on and on. it didnt go very fast but it gave maximum value for fun. a good bike. i would keep it if it wasnt 20 years old and Kawasaki Malaysia still brought it or its parts widely in.

the little detour

miau pussy cats……

after waking up rather late and still sleepy, me and chris went out for some dim sum.

quite the good stuff. no time for pictures, too hungry.

then we wne thome, did some cleaing lazed and had a nap and i decided to find out where in the world is the wangsa maju JPJ.

so i turned the pc on, garmin map source… clickety-clickety and we both put on our rain coats and off we went in the pouring rain :)

anyway we found the place. going there to register my versys :)

once we found the place, it was still early and decided to have a detour. so we went to zoo negara.

if you’re thiking this post is about sad looking zoo animals , think again.

we went past the zoo and into the kampung. hell they had a river next to the road and there were kids swimming. then i notice the road was too nice to be paved just for some river/warter fall, so we ventured on through the kampung. of course there was alot of the political banners and all.

and as the road got smaller , the tar was even better and at the top of the hill ” institute Melayu Baru”/new Malay Insitute? on top of a hill. this place is huge and had a guard house, so i did a 360 and went to the McD next to the zoo and had some ice cream . also no pictures. too hungry.

and we decided to go back.

while riding and feeling the cool breeze i saw a sign board “Kuantan/Genting” and “Pusat Bandar/PJ”

yeah right . next thing i know ….. let the pictures tell you what happend
