the cough is back

yeah, the throat has been itching and i've been coughing. although not as bad as the one last month, its still annoying. i've gone straight to the chinese meds. and i did finish my antibiotics the last time.

and to top up the bad cough , on thursday , my modem died in a thunderstorm, killing the company pc's network card and also 2 ports on chris's 3com wireless router.
more money to spend. damn.
went down to computer war yesterday and bought one aztech unit. its been setup to run with the left over ports of the 3com router since the 3com's wireless is still in good working order. if that wireless thing died as well, it would mean even more money.

during friday and the beginning of saturday i had to get online with the mac + nokia e61i via bluetooth. not as fast but gets the work done.

today is clear the house day. family is coming to visit. so i'm gonna spend less time on the pc and tv today. got to get some sleep as well. mondays arrive too fast.

Adventures in Tesco

Saturday.....
such a nice day. for now we can wake up late, slowly sloth out and move around . we've got the whole entire day to ourselves. all we have to worry about would have to be the weekly laundry and maybe those car/bike servicing intervals.

Its great to have a five daay week. if i needed to go somewhere , i'd just drive/ride off on friday night and when i waake up saturday morning at my destination i've got the whole day. i really dont understand how some people can work on saturdays, HALF day. yuck.

i do understand that now of days, we caant be too choosy about the jobs , having this economic thigny going on and all that.

factories in penang are working 4 day weeks to save on electric costs and transport,
dont know how my company is gonna do. all i can do now is try and sav e as much as possible for the plunge , if it happens.

sucks doesnt it?

anyway, its gonna be hard to save since baby is just about 4 weeks away from the expected due date.


whats been going on? well, i'm typing this blog from a Mac powerbook G4 , guess chrismas came early this year. Thanks Richard.

i'm gonna use Richard's settings until he's fully moved into he's new ac, then it a full reformat.
not that i plan to do much on it , but hey, as long as it can connect to the internet and browse, VPN and VNC to a WINDOWS or Unix machine , i'm good.

so far so good , the machine hasn't been acting up. it didnt come with a wireless adapter sao yesterday i hopped on the bike and went over to computerwar after i found out thaat Aztech does a USB wireless adapter which works with Mac OS X. yippie. RM55 laater , the thing sis connected to my home network and we're on the information super highwaay. ahaahaha

i'm still trying to finish .Paauline's Grey's anatomy DVD collection.

happy birthday mila

This morning we drove to the market before work and bought 10 packets of nasi lemak. No photos of those cause they were gone very very fast...
But in the afternoon, we had jelly and ice cream as its Mila's birthday today. Chris made the jelly and Jackie made the ice vanilla ice cream.
And funily enough the ice cream had a similar taste to a market leading brand. Hehehehehee
but chris's jelly was fantastic and we all had a good time...

a week came and gone

After the bbq of last week. theres been not much going on.
on saturday we went to service the car. the servicing was ok, after that we went to the car tyre shop to et the wheels balanced and aligned and thats where things start to get interesting.

rear shock absorbers a shot. no oil in them. i could compress them with both my hands. Cost, rm180 a pair.

after fixing it, hey not bad handling. but seriously its got me thinking, if the shocks die so far , seems like the springs are too soft. maybe its time for a spring set upgrade?

anyway after that we went to atria to get some vaccume plastic bags to store the baby clothes which we wont be using too soon. got some lunch and got some books and went home.

sunday was rest and DVD's.
wanted to go riding.
had the clothers and helmet on, walked outside and it starts raining. ouch

I'll be truthful here. I like to eat pork. And mr. Meaty sausages suck. Lousy. If i had a pet dog, i would surely pass them on to it, but i have doubts the dog would finish it.

ok now that i have that out of my system,
on saturday, after the dr checkup me and chris went for breakfast at our new favourite place which serves a wicked home style currry. Zamzir @ jalan meru next to the sports toto shop.

b4 the dr's we bought a slab of pork tenderloin and some minced pork, so when we got home i merinated the pork and watched tv. Had lunch and off to the parental class.

watched a video how a baby is born. 1 guy freaked out. After class we went to tesco to shop and to mr.meaty.

had dinner and slept.

come sunday 6:30 am, i took the meat out to reach room temp. Went back to sleep.

woke up later at 10 fired the grill and i'll let the photos talk for themselves. My bother then came late and we had our food.

chris's chicken was great as normal. The pork... The photos tell all.

Arent they just so realistic? and check this out, the washing machine , has 4 modes, and each mode button does somehting different in the machine.

the microwave is even better. you have a 'chicken' to roast, 'meat' , 'vege', 'pizza'

on Saturday , me and chris made more rounds in Tesco to search for baby related stuff.
and i came across these. not bad eh?

the heat is on....

no its got nothing to do with Obama or anything states side.

its here in klang.

firstly, i'm feeling alot better now.

on wednesday, well technically thursday morning at 3am i drove all the way to damansara up town to find a clinic ( all the ones in klang were closed because they only run during the day , lazy dr's).

so i took medical leave on thurday. i felt just as terible on friday. clearly the medicine is not working too well. so i went to find a physician with chris, a different one from the oter day. and well, that dude hit the spot nicely. after the first dosage , not a sound of cough was heard any more. good job man. and last night , i had one of the best night sleeps since 2 weeks back. all thanks to my darling for taking are of me. and not to forget mum who calls and checks and advises. call it telemedicine. maybe its time to do some video conferencing with the home base...
on second thought the kids there will be having a more jolly time than my mum.

feels good to be healthy again. can't say the same for my boss who is sitting on his stomach 24X7 for the next few days coz of his operation. hope he gets well soon.

so why the title the heat is on?
well , the expected calculated day i'll be a daddy would be 26th of December. thatsw about say 30+26 = 56 days more. in less than 60 days?! i just can't wait.

oh oh , and also i'm buying a honda cub 70cc bike to put in my house so that my mum can use it to move around while she's here. so hope the shop does keep the bike reserved for me.

i'm goonna be a daddy, and chris is gonna be a mummy. yippie.
